happiness :)

so i am moody, totally pms-ing, and am not getting many hours this summer, same as joey (we both got cut hours, but my boss's reason i can handle - it's to save all of us, instead of ditching some entirely.  joey's boss on the other hand, is a moron.)  HOWEVER.

i like our new ward.  it's sooooooo hard to adjust every time to a new ward.  but i'm doing ok.
i have a garden.  it's comprised of tiny little green things sticking out of the soil, but hey, they're alive right now.  :)
rent is cheaper this summer, and our tiny studio apartment is clean.
joey and i miraculously (and i do not use that word lightly) had a huge amount of hours the past 2 weeks, so we both received huge paychecks; thus we didn't have to ask his dad to help pay off the rest of my byu loan from last semester, as well as the health center bills, like i thought we would so i could get my scholarship.  i now only have 200 LEFT THAT I OWE TO BYU personally!  :D :D :D :D :D :D
ps i received a scholarship for fall and winter.  as in i don't have to pay tuition.  AHHH!  :D :D :D :D :D
tricare is finally getting their head on straight and we are on the correct health insurance.  now our claims will be filed correctly instead of rudely returned.  (don't get me started on that one.  i will just say PAIN and HEADACHE.)
we have started working out again, and we are going to help each other improve our goals - individual & united.  and i am not as bad as i thought.  however, i still hate the utah air.  ew.  my nose runs for at least an hour after WE go running... and that's if i'm lucky. but by golly i will not be beat in another audition because i have awful cardio!
i am reading the chronicles of narnia, but we also started reading our scriptures together.  that has always been my hardest task - praying is easy, tithing is easy, but read my scriptures?  i don't even know why.  cuz i like to read them!  it's weird, i don't know.  the point is that i am reading again, and i feel so close to the spirit when we do.
did i mention i got a scholarship for fall and winter tuition?  i have to take at least 14 credit hours for each semester (i'll have 16.5) and i have to go to the devotionals, write a thank you letter, and try to give back once i'm outta here.  um, yes yes yes and yes?  ok in all seriousness.  this in and of itself is enormous.  in case you haven't figured out by reading everything up to this point, money kinda freaks me out.  no i literally will start screaming or crying or throwing pillows or all of the above if i think too long about everything we have to pay for and pay back.  and we don't even have kids!!  whew.  ok.  so yes, major blessing and know that if your kids are going to byu someday, and you just don't think you can afford it, or they are so stressed about it, know i will help out.  because this scholarship of mine is from tithing, generous donations, and the result of many prayers - and not just mine and joey's.  so if any of you reading this are the members who decided i should be the recipient, i cannot thank you enough.  for those of you who pay your tithing, i cannot thank YOU enough.  i have no choice but to do the same when joey and i have a spare dollar here and there.

joey and i are ok.  i'm ok.  "there is love at home..." (even when there is dislike, cuz let's be honest, we're all human.  but things always work out.)  and there is happiness.  there is happiness for me and my family :)

so you know, miracles happen.
