so after spending an hour trying to find the background i had for this blog (which i will never change again! sheesh!) i can now update you all on the latest adventure joey and i have been on this week!
we are buying a toyota corolla! no this is NOT a joke, it's really happening! here's what happened. joey and i have been driving his mitsubishi eclipse. this eclipse was owned by a single navy guy before joey, so it's seen the whole country. then joey got it, and so it saw more of the country. now, this past year joey and i have been fixing little things here and there. so this past month it's been making funny noises. joey changed the oil, cleaned the insides, did everything he could think of. this weekend it was especially scary.
so yesterday, monday, i told joey i volunteered to help a co-worker move belongings from a storage unit to her apartment. as we were on the way there, we realized we couldn't speed up too much, or we might not back it to our own apartment. saying silent prayers works, i can tell you that. so we decide, ok, gotta go check this out tomorrow first thing for sure. but in the mean time, we might as well go look at the toyota dealership to help us decide between two cars: the mazda3 and the corolla. we had been to the mazda dealership last monday for fhe, so we figured toyota the week after works for us. so we get there, tell the salesman what we're thinking, and he tries to convince us (no work for me haha). so we test drive, we chat, we decide we might as well see how much it would cost... so we go in, they want to see what they can give us for the eclipse. the mechanic gets in the car, and oh wow. he hears the sound... that dreadful sound. he drives it around the lot, and is scared it will DIE RIGHT THERE. great. what does he tell us? the V6 cylinder we owned was working on 2. TWO CYLINDERS is what we were driving!! ahhh! i couldn't believe it. so obviously, we were even scared to drive home. thus, we decided to think much more seriously about buying a car. like, this week.
so we signed some crazy papers last night. 0% for 5 years. daddy is co-signing since we don't have credit, really. yay for building good credit on the first go - cuz that is what we will be doing!!
i'm so nervous. daddy just sent in the fax saying he will sign the paper. so.... we are going to get our car in about 30 minutes!! AHHH!
i'm so excited. :D
