dear aaron,
you are so silly, and i love you. you refuse to take a nap unless we're cuddled up in my bed, snuggling as i stroke your hair. (i really love the time to snuggle, though, so it's ok.) that's what is happening right now. we have dance parties when you wake up, and you love to point out everything you see, especially puppies. you are the sweetest little boy, always eager to be friends with each kid you meet. i can hardly believe you're mine sometimes, and i am pretty much constantly thanking Heavenly Father that you are!
- you like to spin in circles when you are happy. awesome vestibular skills exploration, and entertainment to boot!
- you are getting a third tooth, the top front right one (the other is close behind). hence sleep and eating schedules are a little different, again.
- you blow kisses to the grandparents, and mommy and daddy. it's adorable.
- you wave bye bye and hello to everyone now, not just mommy and daddy. when we went out to eat the other night, you really liked the nice waitress, so you would wave at her every time she walked by. *melt*my*heart*
- you point out everything, including the stupid gross bugs that are constantly flying outside our window. sometimes you point at things i don't see, and i wonder who is watching out for you that makes you smile so big.
- you are a copy cat! whether it's sounds or motions, you will mimic without a moment's hesitation! my favorite two that you copy: when daddy burps and you have to out-do it, and when nana laughs and you laugh with her (head back and everything).
- you like to shake your head "no" when you think about doing something mommy has said not to do. for instance, you point at the computer cord and shake your head no, or you hold your fork over the side of your chair and shake your head no. you're still learning so naturally there are still mistakes, but i love to see that you really do understand more than you can say!
- you still love being outside, and our patio/balcony is a new favorite spot. yay for water and fresh air and trees that give wonderful shade!
- you really want friends. it's reassuring to know that when a sibling comes along you'll enjoy the company. in the mean time, i have to set up play dates!
- you love being a ghost, as in actually in the pillow case chasing daddy's feet. (see video below.)
- you know where your belly button, nose, eyes, and toes are and can point them out when prompted. your favorite is your belly button, or mommy's nose :)
- you and i are best friends, and it's great to know that when daddy is gone and i feel sad, you are right there to make silly faces with me and give me kisses. we are such an awesome family.
