dear reed,
you are a smiley little clingy koala bear. you make us all act crazy as we try to get as many giggles and smiles as we each can. you adore your siblings, and you are happiest when held.
- you successfully started grasping things last month, and now have taken it up a notch by being able to turn objects so you can successfully put them in your mouth. your favorite is to find the tail on the zebra auntie em made.
- you seem to be a lefty! obviously both hands grasp for objects (or faces), but it seems that you predominantly use your left, just like the other boys.
- when you wake up in the mornings, you look for your siblings until they come say hi to you, at which point you give them the biggest grins. you love morning play time.
- because the house is so much bigger (and you just want to be held all the time) i haven't left you laying down as much, but we have started working on rolling over. you have started rolling from your back to your tummy by getting onto your side and then getting a little help to finish. aaron says you rolled onto your back from your tummy the other morning all on your own, but i didn't see it so who knows.
- you took your first tumble, off ana's bed. you were furious, and i set you on your tummy and went to grab her pajamas. you pulled yourself over and took a nose dive. perfectly fine, but ridiculous nonetheless.
- you do like to pull yourself around, and have almost figured out a genuine scoot. crawling is soon to come! you often turn yourself in your bed when you wake up, trying to figure out how to escape.
- the teeth have held off, but have poked the tops out twice this month, just to sink back in. it's been a little rough those nights, but so far you are still all gum. fine by me!
- you generally take two naps now, one in the morning, and then with the others in the afternoon. however, by cutting out that evening nap you now need to go to bed earlier. this also works for me, since we now are putting your siblings to bed earlier, too. win win win :) you definitely keep by the sun!
- you love things on your feet! tigers on your footed pajamas, sock decorations... your eyes go big when you see them and you love to eat them. you like to eat your toes without socks, too, however learned your lesson the other day when you gave yourself a good bite!
- you despise playing pat-a-cake. i mean, screaming and crying and freaking out whenever we try! however, little piggies going to market are hilarious, as is tickling (pretty much everywhere). aaaand peek-a-boo is fabulous too. especially with your siblings.
you are starting to show more and more of your personality, and we are all loving it. you are such a wonderful fit in our family, and we love you so very much. you were needed and missing, and we are so much better with you. i love you my darling stretchy pants.
love,
mommy
